Olga Holtz is a multinational writer/director/producer/polyglot/polymath who explores follies of genius, elusiveness of belonging, and ironies of love.
Her early journey led from obscure beginnings in the Urals - via immigrating twice without a safety net - to math professorships in Berkeley and Berlin, multiple research awards, and over 3 Mil Euro in grant funding.
After studying at the Berkeley Digital Film Institute, Olga honed her writing in programs by ScreenwritingU, Corey Mandell, Jacob Krueger Studio ProTrack, Roadmap Writers, Rocaberti Writers, and Stowe Story Labs.
Her award-winning directorial debut, a short thriller, played at festivals worldwide. Her scripts placed in PAGE Awards, AFF, Big Break, WeScreenplay, ScreenCraft, and others. She has won Page Turner Awards, Titan Awards, and a Grand Jury Prize at RIFF.
In her `spare' time, Olga has competed in International ballroom championships, sung with the Berlin Philharmonic Choir, and appeared on the cover of German Vogue.
