Niall Queenan

Niall Queenan graduated in 2012 from the National Film School in Ireland with a Masters in Screenwriting for Film & Television. In 2015, ‘THE HIT PRODUCER,’ a micro-budget crime thriller that he wrote and co-produced, received a limited theatrical release in Ireland. He subsequently won the Gold Prize in the Thriller/Horror category of the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards for his spec noir thriller, ‘NEXT OF KIN’. His contributions as the writer's assistant on ‘RED ROCK’, the multi-award-winning Irish police drama, led to a storyliner position for its final season in 2018. Niall was hired as the writer's assistant on season one of MGM/Netflix’s 'VIKINGS' spin-off series, 'VIKINGS: VALHALLA', working alongside showrunner Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive). His contributions to the first season led to his being hired to write two episodes for the second season of the show, which premiered on Netflix in 2023. In 2024, Niall completed the feature adaptation of the memoirs of a globally renowned doctor, which is currently being considered for development by Netflix. A self-employed screenwriter living in County Sligo, Niall actively develops new TV and feature film projects with Irish directors and producers. He recently completed writing the scripts for a four-part crime drama mini-series and is currently developing a feature sci-fi thriller with a Dublin and London-based production company. Writing is his favourite thing, and it doesn't matter to him where he is as long as he can have some time alone to disappear into other worlds.
