K. Broch (like the pins abuelas wear) is a queer, mixed, disabled, comedy writer from West Michigan. When her single Mexican-American mother struggled to find childcare, she brought K. to her best friend’s gay bar, where the drag queens became her babysitters. After a stint dabbling in crime as a teen, she got her ankle tether off just in time to graduate from Michigan State University and create her own redemption story. It took a near-death experience to catapult her move to Los Angeles. Over the past decade, she’s worked in marketing, as a beauty blogger and makeup artist, and as a producer, UPM, and writer on several short films. She writes, produces and cohosts the podcast, She Said...Let’s! which tells stories of artists who overcame fears and the women in film & TV who empowered them to do so. K. was a 2023 National Hispanic Media Coalition Series Scriptwriters fellow, a 2025 Circle M+P x Anarchists United Writers Discovery Fellow, and was chosen for the Pre-Rainbow Pages, Pre-Lista and 1IN4 2024 mentorship programs. Currently, she writes and directs for dating sketch comedy show, Single Riders Only.
