Raised by a criminal and a kindergarten teacher and having grown up with a white picket fence around a gambling ring, she’s drawn to stories about inherently decent people doing bad things. Jess’ atypical upbringing, combined with a passion for putting unconventional women on screen, led to the sale of her one-hour pilot GAMBLE STREET to Apple TV+ with Sony serving as the studio, the late great Jamie Tarses producing, and Michelle MacLaren attached to direct.
