Jack Azadi

Jack began writing when he returned home from fighting ISIS as a western volunteer in the Kurdish Army, a decision he took after meeting survivors of the Yazidi genocide. A veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, he spent a decade in war zones as a security consultant protecting news teams, diplomats, and engineers rebuilding fragile states. He has garnered numerous accolades over the years and has a certain penchant for underdogs; he recently placed in the Academy Nicholl Top 50 with a war feature that was subsequently optioned and another feature is being shopped by Echo Lake after becoming the Grand Prize winner in the Page Awards.
