Caitlin Gallo and Brittany Harris have been best friends since 2007 and writing partners since 2017. They first met at a small theater conservatory tucked behind Lincoln Center in New York City, where they bonded over strong coffee, dark humor, and a pathological need for applause. Despite their very different backgrounds - Caitlin, the New York born and LA raised daughter of a music executive, and Brittany, a proud Southerner and descendant of Mary Todd Lincoln (yes, really) - the creative chemistry was undeniable.

After college, Caitlin built a career in Off-Broadway theater and advertising, while Brittany attended law school before both ultimately found their way back to Los Angeles, to storytelling, and to each other. Together, they write character-driven dramas and darkly funny genre pieces that explore the complexity of the human condition through heightened worlds.

Their work has garnered industry recognition: Most recently their WWII drama, The Girl with the Red Hair reached the quarterfinals of the Academy Nicholl’s Fellowship, and their indie drama, Last Refrain was one of six projects selected for The Black List Writers Lab. In 2023, they were named to the International Screenwriters Association’s “Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch.” Their Mamas and Papas biopic, People Like Us appeared on the 2021 Wscripted Cannes Screenplay List, and their teen comedy, Cheaters won Script Pipeline’s First Look Project the same year.

Gallo and Harris continue to craft stories that balance intelligence, emotion, and wit - rooted in friendship, resilience, and the pursuit of meaning in chaos.
