Erika is an award-winning director and multidisciplinary filmmaker whose work is defined by immersive, character-driven storytelling and a rigorous command of cinematic form. Working as a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor, she approaches filmmaking as a cohesive authorship practice, crafting psychologically intimate films that place the audience inside the emotional and moral terrain of her characters. Her work often explores identity, isolation, and the quiet tensions embedded in Southern landscapes.

As a co-founder of the independent production company Honey Head Films, Erika has spent the past decade establishing herself as a strategic producer within the independent film space, shepherding projects from development through distribution. Her critically acclaimed feature directorial debut, A Song for Imogene, premiered on the festival circuit where it earned four Best Feature awards and Best Cinematography before going on to secure a worldwide distribution deal. The film was also selected as an official Sundance ReFrame Project, recognizing its commitment to gender equity in filmmaking.

In addition to her filmmaking career, Erika is a public speaker, film festival judge and collegiate educator - continually committed to mentorship and the advancement of underrepresented voices in cinema.
