EJ Baker

EJ Baker is a writer and political strategist based in Los Angeles. Originally from Rochester, NY, EJ studied film and theater at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she worked as an assistant and story department reader at Paradigm Talent Agency while completing the Upright Citizens Brigade training program and performing with her improv team around LA. After watching too much MSNBC in the lead up to the 2012 election, EJ moved to DC and earned her Masters in Political Communication from the George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs. She spent several years working for campaigns and organizations including the Democratic National Committee, EMILY’s List, and Swing Left. That work eventually led her back to LA to build Crooked Media’s Vote Save America program and contribute to its flagship shows, Pod Save America and Lovett or Leave It. She has completed Writing Pad LA’s certificate program in TV Comedy Writing and her first screenplay, We Are Never Getting Back Together, was a Finalist in the Stage32 4th Annual Romantic Comedy Screenwriting Competition 2025 and received an Honorable Mention in The Finish Line Script Competition 2024-2025.
