@clint-williams Riverside County, California

Clint Williams is a former newspaper reporter who writes movies for grown ups with heroes whose knees creak.

He writes grounded action-thriller screenplays with a greater emphasis on character than body count. Clint's brand is built on gritty, intelligent action-dramas that explore themes of duty, family, and personal integrity through the eyes of seasoned, often world-weary, protagonists.

His action screenplay FREEDOM FORT, based on actual events following the War of 1812, won the Final Draft Big Break historical/period category and was named to the inaugural Georgia List, an initiative by The Black List to spotlight writers with strong ties to the Peach State.

Clint’s period action feature ENEMY was a Nicholl Top 50 script and his low-budget action-thriller NO HEROES HERE was an semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival.

When he isn’t at the keyboard, Clint likes to do the sort of things they write about in Outside Magazine. He recently hiked the Cotswold Way in England, covering 103 miles in seven days.
