Ashley Wilson

Raised between the rigor of competition as a multi-sport athlete and the rough edges of the West Virginia foothills, Ashley Wilson is a writer and director made of pure grit. Her scripts have received 8s and 9s from The Black List and been named a Finalist by Cinequest. After a few too many concussions, she traded the field for the page, channeling her drive and discipline into storytelling. She earned her BA in English from Clemson University and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Now based in Georgia, she empowers young writers to find their voice and resilience through storytelling as an educator and Co-Founder of Salty Quill Studios. Ashley’s work explores themes of female empowerment, teamwork, and perseverance against cycles of poverty and addiction, proving that no matter the struggle, hope can find a way.
