April Son is a Korean American dark comedy writer & director from Ohio who, after witnessing a couple of exorcisms, knew it was time to leave her small town. Now, based between New York City and Barcelona, she lives in a constant state of identity crisis. She writes about characters experiencing a belated coming-of-age and confronting desires that contradict who they are. April is a winner of The Script Lab competition, a recipient of the Young Director Award, Dreampitch category, and a previous participant of Coverfly’s Writer Development Program. She has developed her writing through Script Anatomy's TV Pilot and Feature Film labs.
