I’m Abhishek Shintre, a 24-year-old independent filmmaker and writer based in Pune, India.
I published my first novel, A Pandemic Wedding, at 19. Around the same time, I began working on film sets through projects associated with the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), where I gained hands-on experience across different stages of filmmaking. My work ranged from script development and on-ground tasks to co-ordinating actors and assisting with direction. This way of learning, by being involved in every part of the process, has shaped how I approach filmmaking today.
