Judah Ray

At just sixteen years old, Judah Ray introduced himself to the entertainment world as a true visionary by producing his first concert event, which drew thousands of fans. As one of the originators of the Southern California EDM scene, he quickly made a name for himself working alongside legends such as Pasquale Rotella, Disco Donnie, and Jeff Ryan, serving as a CEO, producer, promoter, DJ, agent, and financier. His productions regularly drew crowds of over ten thousand people, cementing him as a pioneer in what would become a multi-million-dollar industry. Judah’s artistic journey extended beyond music. His passion for creativity led him into graphic design during Adobe’s early days, where he became one of Los Angeles’s most sought-after designers. He later established himself as a professional photographer, landing commercial work with companies like Nokia and OneModelPlace.com. Eventually, Judah set his sights on the film and television industry, starting as a PA and working his way into the art department. In 2005, he produced his first feature, One Among Us, starring James Russo and collaborating with industry veterans Carlos Arguello and Gavin Alcott. Distributed by Netflix, the film has since achieved cult status among horror fans worldwide. He later worked under Eli Samaha at MGM Entertainment, developing remakes of classic films, at MTV on music video productions, and as an art director for top artists including Brandy, Fabolous, and Pharrell Williams. Recognizing his true calling in storytelling, Judah attended the Los Angeles Film School, graduating Summa Cum Laude as the institution’s first Valedictorian. His thesis film toured the festival circuit, earning multiple awards. Since then, he has built a strong portfolio of feature and television projects under his production company, A-Level Pictures. Judah has ghostwritten for A-list screenwriters and major studios, including a collaboration with Darren Lynn Bousman at Radical Pictures. His feature If She Screams was sold by Glasshouse Distribution, and his directorial debut Making Peace has earned over one hundred honors—including Best Short, Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Concept, and Best Cinematography. He also directed Tom Sizemore in Trauma Therapy 2, marking the acclaimed actor’s final performance and serving as a tribute to his legacy. Currently, Judah continues to expand his footprint across film and television. His feature screenplay Speed Train wrapped production in Thailand and was released theatrically and across all VOD and AVOD platforms in late 2025. Butterfly Films has secured his feature Unorthodox, a seven-figure budget film which he is set to co-direct. Rolling Pictures Films is developing Father Reaper, a screenplay he penned for Christopher Titus. In addition, Judah has established himself in the vertical micro-drama space as a ghostwriter for top apps, delivering high-performing serialized scripts. He is actively shopping several original vertical micro-drama series of his own. In 2025, A-Level Pictures officially launched its vertical micro-drama department, now partnered with leading global apps and producing original serialized content at scale. With a career that bridges underground culture, award-winning cinema, and the cutting edge of serialized digital storytelling, Judah Ray continues to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible in entertainment.
