I'm an award-winning Shiny List director, and the way I work is pretty simple — I try to be direct without being shallow. I want an idea to land immediately, but I also want there to be something underneath it worth sitting with.
My work tends to be provocative. Visceral. I'm not interested in making things that are easy to forget. I want to challenge how people see something, and I want them to feel it — not just watch it.
On the commercial side, I direct, but I'll step into a producing role when the project calls for it. I've found that understanding both sides — the creative and the logistical — makes me a better collaborator and honestly just makes the work better. When you know what it takes to pull something off, you make smarter creative decisions.
At the end of the day, I care about three things: does it look like something, does it mean something, and did we execute it the right way? If I can say yes to all three, we did our job.
